Case Manager Appreciation
Case Manager Appreciation

Each and every day, the local CPS in your area may not do what you want them to do; often times they are doing what they have to do, and these decisions are hard to make. If you know someone that works for the local DHHR/CPS/Social Services, they are often times are not told thank you for the work that they do and they are often more than not in a good situation. Not anyone wants to see them coming. They did not just decide that you would be a good place to work today, they were called out to your home for a reason, and they have services in your home for a reason.

Now is the time to be honest with yourself and those trying to help. Their goal should be reunification and resources to help. They often times put companies like us into the homes so we can make sure that the family has the option for resources and programming. Not everything's easy but appreciate the help and allow it to work to your favor.

People get these services in their home for many reasons, sometimes they are needed and sometimes it may not be but to get that out there and done and learn along the way. Let these services be in place and make sure that the workers are safe and heard and this extends to those that work around them and help these services be placed faster and allow you to get them in the home and this is working for you, not against you. Their personal issues and feelings take a back seat and more often than not you never see their true feelings when their heart breaks for a child. I know I am not painting the picture you may see, but thing of what would the situation be if they were not involved.

Appreciate your Case Workers and those that assist on providing services. Things change and they are doing their job one family and crisis at the time.
