Holiday Cheer

This year we want to work on a new project, HOH Holiday Cheer Boxes. Here is the concept;

You take a shoe box and you fill it with goodies for a child and you wrap it and mark it for a boy and around the age or girl and the age..

So in the shoebox, you can put things that will fit, like;

* coloring books

* crayons

* socks

* toothbrush

* fidget toys

* fun toys

* stuffies

anything that can fit for a child in that box so it can be wrapped and marked...

 GIRL 3-5 years old

 BOYS 7-9 years old

The boxes can be any age and gender and you can do gender free boxes that can just be a box of fun no matter why gets it.

Please do not add:

Candy or gum, perishable foods, soap, money, used or damaged goods, breakable items, flammable things or matches, lighters or medications. Please do not add scary itwms or something that would be considered a weapon.

Birthday to Go Boxes

Sometimes, people want to give their child a birthday but may not have what they need, so we have a fun idea.

Pick up a disposable baking pan with a lid for it and inside, you can put

a party pack inside including but not limited to, what can fit;

* tablecloth

* birthday banner

* box of cake mix

* container of icing

* sprinkles

* birthday candles

* can of sprite (instead of oil and eggs)

* plates

* Napkins

* balloons

**Can be any theme or a basic and it will be labeled for the theme. You can also include other party things you think someone may need to make a memory.

Fun Bags

The children that come to visitation often times can get bored, and we want to supply fun things for the children that they can do with their parents. We would like to have some in the visitation rooms and in the vehicles with the Case Managers or FSW's. So, these are things that will fit in a gallon size zip lock bad with a note of encouragement enclosed (these are kits to do with the families); they will be put together as crafting kits and done for one child where they can choose something fun.

(Idea borrowed from Project Bird with permission)

* Picture frame

* Wind Chimes

* Beaded jewelry

* Calming Bottles (plastic bottles please)

* Rock Painting

Handprint Crafts

* Paper bag Puppets

* Coffee Filter Crafts

* Finger Painting

* Positive Post It Notes

* Ornament Painting

* Dollar Tree Crafts (holiday themed)

* Rain Stick

* Paper Flower craft

* Rading Nook (Story Book and Stuffie)

The crafts can include notes with encouraging words or fun memories for the parties to chare and to talk about. These are to help encourage special memories and ideas for the families.

Please DO NOT include candy, gum or food items.
